The Meadows at Oldwick was the first housing project for people with disabilities built green from start to finish in the State of New Jersey. The project's sponsor, United Cerebral Palsy, hired IGT to help design and to build the project in what proved to be record time. Completed in early 2008, The Meadows comprises eighteen one- and two-bedroom apartments positioned around a 4,500SF community center including offices, laundry facilities, and a 1500SF rotunda-shaped activities space, giving way to professionally landscaped outdoor living spaces.
This project won the NJ Governor's Best Green Sustainable Development award in 2008. It currently has a net zero energy cost profile due in large part to the Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs).
